Will 83 110 bolt into 78-85 atc 70? Looks to be quite longer and taller?? Any one here ever made the motor swap??:beer

It will fit. You have to drill a new hole in the frame. Also you will have interference problems with the intake and the carb, so you may have to custom fabricate an intake manifold. Also, some people either cut and lengthen the frame or they cut some of the fender away from the back side of the fender. Also people often fabricate a custom attachment point so they can still use the front engine mount. Have you ever done any looking over at the glamis dunes .com website in their atc70 forums? Lots of really good info over there and there are people that have swapped atc90/110 engines into the atc70s. I can't remember if any of the engine mount width has to be ground off or not, but I know the atc90/110 is a really tight fit into an atc70. Some people have done it and made it look super clean when they were done. Best of luck with your project.

Veal, what about using an old PK intake, would that work instead of using a custom made one?

I don't know if the PK would clear the 70 frame or not. Not so much how it sticks out to the side, but height clearance to the 70 frame would be pretty close.

so will the 70 clone engines fit in a 90 frame then?

yep with a little work but who wants to put in a smaller engine I'm tryin to build a monster mini is were this got started you know kinda like putting a 350 in an s-10 less weight more power

The reason I was asking is because I was thinking of putting in a 140 Lifan engine... Seems like a cheap option for more power in my US 90.

takes a little work but with any skill and some average mechanical skills and tools you should be fine
