Just an FYI post. I bought the CDI kit from that dude in Malaysia on ebay. He was good to work with and it shipped pretty quick considering it came from Malaysia. Starts on the first pull (course it did with points too). Has good power. I give it a thumbs up.

Goat.. can you explain the install?

Did you have to take the keyway out and turn the flywheel to set the timing or was it spot on?

I dont understand how the cdi unit wires in... Does it plug into the coil along with the wire from the stator??

:wondering

Seems pretty straight forward to me except how the timing would be off, I think I may do this too.....

I'm curious too. When I think of a CDI, I imagine there being a sensor that tells it when to fire. How is that provided with this kit?

I am really considering doing this, I haven't even gotten my ATC 70 running yet and I already hate the contact points.....Seems well worth the $50....I wish the instructions had a few more pictures though, I am a visual person.
