Hello,

pictures I want to see them.

Thanx,

Did the fenders bolt right on to the 200x seat? If so Ill have to try those on my X. Looks awesome. I bet you have a pretty penny in those two machines.

Hey blazerone. Did the 200s motor just bolt into the 200x frame? Or did you have to cut or modify anything? also, do you think a 200m motor would fit in a 200x frame. Thanks

man, it's about time I saw some NICE 200x's! I can't wait till i'm done mine. It's top secret  On the first pic in this thread, can you tell me what size rims and tires those are? And will a 350x headlight bolt up to an 83-85 x?

~I think everyone should list their mods along with pics ;)

Yeah, a s motor drops right in, you have to use the 200x intake though uses the x motor mounts and you have to fab up a rear brake pedal because the 200x mounts that to the motor. or you can use a polaris master on the left side for you rear brake. But that s motor rips around pretty good.

Here is my 85 200x. It has webcam 89a cam, 10.25/1 piston, ported cylinder head, 3 angle valve job, webcam valve springs, mukuni 27.7mm roundslide carb, and a DG rcm pipe. Tall gears and a brand new clutch. It feels like a two stroke with a peaky power band. I'm building a spare motor with plans of 12.0/1 compression, top end cam, larger bore and a 6mm stroke for displacement of 218cc. A little more power never hurts......unless you fall off![/img]

Hey mudder, where did u get the white headlight guard?

And Samster, that sounds like the setup i'm thinking of running. How do u like it? And what kind of gas are you using? Did u get that carb from PRO-FLO.com?

samster143
07-23-2003, 04:07 PM
The carb is from PRO-FLO. I run 60% 100LL (avgas) and 40% premium pump gas. 100% 100LL seemed to throw off the ignition timing a little. Runs GREAT!

The white headlight cover was done by krylon :D I have a zenon headlight, it looks sweet at night.

I by far have the best Honda 200x. LOL. j/k. lol My 200x has a 185s engine with a 200x cylinder, and a 200x carb. It also has no muffler. You gotta love the noise. Haha. The rear fenders are fiberglass, and have custom painted flames, which I did myself. Enjoy the pics. -D

Mudder, how did the painting come out? White over red doesn't sound like it would come out right. Did you put plastic primer on first?

Samster what is avgas?

Heres mine. It use to have a pretty hot motor. At the time it had a 12:1 piston, .040 over bore, Web high rev cam, and different valve springs. About a month after I had it, I shreaded 3rd gear. It was down for about 3 monthes and then my dad and I got the tranny backtogether and put a 200E topend on it. Its a little lacking compared to how it was, but it hasn't given a hiccup yet other then everyonce in a while the kick starter gear feels like its going to strip (Again)

I think you need a new front tire :-D

07-25-2003, 05:30 PM
hey which cam did u get and r u running it in your 200e head now? and r u using race gas with that 12:1 piston? aluminum or titanium valve springs from web cam? was all that worth it?

Billy Golightly
07-25-2003, 05:36 PM
As I said in my initial post, all those mods are long gone...The 200X had those mods when I bought it. I did at the time of the 12:1 just use good quality high test (Chevron). The stock 200E cam is in it now. I would say theres definetly a very noticeable difference in power from how it was and how it is now.

kilabeez0
07-25-2003, 05:39 PM
how come u didn't put the other stuff back in?

Billy Golightly
07-25-2003, 05:42 PM
Because I had came to the conclusion that the power the engine was making is what helped kill 3rd gear to start with. Not to mention the extra compression was hell on that goofy assed kick starter setup the 200X has. About 6-7 monthes after I put the 200E topend on it I put my 200X topend that had the mods into my old 82 Big Red (From which the topend that went on the 200X came from) and my cousin from Ft. Lauderdale was up here and grenaded it, ontop of the the cam and head running out of oil....

I have a 85 200x.
Picked it up about 2 weeks ago.

Paid $200 for her.
Runs great!
Starts like a bit ch tho.

I plan on making it badass tho!
Ordering a brand new Carb off eBay for $30 on Friday.
Might extend the swingarm too.

Anyone have a good sprocket ratio for speed?
What is the stock ratio?
Google says 12/40
I might change mine to a 14/40,...or whatever fits into the space provided.

And no-ones pics are coming thru.
Wonder what's up with my shiz.

Just clean your factory carb and save yourself the money. Mine liked to have you pump the throttle a lot before you started it, about 7 times in winter, then it would fire in 1 or 2 kicks. Download your manual.
