Was up north on a trip a few weeks ago when a noticed a lot of trikes in the area. Went down a few side roads and low and behold a polaris trike! It is sitting in some tall grass next to a guy's pole barn. I plan on going back up in sept with a little cash to see if he wants to sell it. If he does, I'll be selling my auto x project and using the polaris for the woods. Hopefully he sells....

i saw a scrambler a couple months back in an auto trader. the add said it was in near mint condition, and that it had been stored. I think he wanted 2000$ for it (canadian). Unfortunately, I was short of funds at the time.

The worth can vary considerably. I know I have one. Before I even got it going I was offered a bundle for it. But I didn't sell it and won't sell it. If I get another 1-2 they won't be for sale either. A lot of TrikeFest attendies got to ride this one with No Complaints. To me they are the Cadilac of 3 Wheelers.

I think the words I used were "the ultimate machine for old fat guys"!

All it needed was airconditioning, and a good stereo for playing elevator music!

I am almost sure they were made in 85 and 86. Do you mean big in production or big in popularity? I dont think they were that popular because they never made that many.

If you want to see a pic, than just go take a loom on the main page...It'll be there under "Polaris Scrambler Three Wheeler" or something like that

They are pretty good in sized. The one I have has hauled me and 3 kids around on the seat at one time. The kids were 10, 6, & 5. It actually does take up a little more room than a 350x too. The 350x will only fit 2 kids on the seat besides me.

The Biggest down side to the Scramblers is the brakes. On mine the rear brakes are so touchy if you hit them while riding a wheelie you better hang on. Otherwise you will be flipped in front of the machine.

http://www.3wheelerworld.com/team.shtml scroll down a little and you will see it.

That is the Polaris as it was when I got it. It didn't run and needed a lot of work. The gas tank on it hold 4 gallon. And that is a good thing. It does like to drink. lol

I do have some pictures of it since it is running good. I also got some pictures as it was getting fixed. I need to find them.

The bad news is right now it's down and out again. It needs a new bendix. Thanks God it's only a 1 hour fix. Just need to get the new part in. I might tear the tranny down and go through it just for piece of mind also.
I like it well I haven't rode any of my 350x's in weeks. But the Polaris has Drank 8 gallons of gas since TF. At the rate I'm going it will need new tires before Christmas ( they were real good to start with too ). lol

I just found one in an auto trader. Heres the link http://www.trader.ca/Search/Details.asp?mknm=105&Region=&subcategory=701&CAT=7
Not a bad price, considering that its canadian, not american

here is the proper link. $1200 CN = $900 US. Located in upstate NY by niagara. Not bad if it runs as good as it looks.

Go to polaris ATV, on page 8.

My Polaris Scrambler 250 r/es

Has the engine on it now. About to buy a carb and take off.
Bought it for $20 and rebuilt the engine out of that box right there in 5 hours. Then found big hole in tranny. JB WELD saves the day!!!
I'll probably buy a new one before too long though.
Oh and the kid i bought it from gave me the rear rack the other day. This thing IS huge.
