Changed my oil today and when i tried to tighten the plug back up it wouldn't tighten.. So i guess my threads are toast.. Should i try a new plug? And if that doesn't work is there a kit i can buy? Thanks

Theres a couple more threads on this subject but this was the quickest to find.

A new plug is going to have the same outcome as the one you have now. Your best options are heli coil or new case half, you should be able to do a heli coil without removing the motor, do a search, people mention putting grease on the drill bit to catch the shavings so they don't get inside the motor.

When my 250sx did that, I just went down to the local NAPA store, showed them old plug, and they gave me a new, oversized plug that was self-tapping. It was like 4 bucks. Just make sure you start it straight and back it all the way out after you run it in to clean the metal shavings off of it.

Yes i tried a new plug but it didnt work :( It gets to the point where it just about tightens up, then it goes loose again...After i ride for a few hours it gets so loose it starts to leak oil just a bit.. So i tighten it back as much as i can...
