Hello there,

I just got this 3 wheeler the other day, it is 1982, atc 200 and it wont start, the spark plug is good, the only problem i see is the spring is broken to pull the starter to get it running, so we tried to push start it , sounded like it was running but it wouldnt catch, it keeps turning and turning and never starting, does anyone have a clue on what is wrong? i think the gas line is fine from the spark to the little relay, dont no how to check that any clues???

and is there another way to start the bike without pulling the string?

Thx a bunch,

Elaine

In all honesty, do it right. Dammit here on the boards has cheap downloadable manuals for your bike. Learn how to rebuild the pull coil (your gonna need to) and do it right.

Check to see if it has spark.

Has it sat long? Clean the carb if it has. Might have a clogged jet.

And if you have to:

You can pull start them, takes a little finese. I would put mine in 3rd gear, and hold the shifter down half way (acts as a clutch, keeps it out of gear) Wait till you have a little speed, then take your foot off the shifter.

Welcome to 3WW, and post some pics up! :beer

HEres a link for the manuals. He asks that you throw a little money for every manual you download.

Good luck.
