I just picked up an 83' atc200 with 3 flats. Can I just put tubes in these tires ?
If not where is the cheapest place to get tires for this atc ?
Picked this up for $50 btw. Hadn't run in 6yrs and was sitting in their backyard the whole time. Cleaned the carb, changed the oil, replaced misc. bolts missing, re-did broken pull start. Started on the 3rd pull.

Yes you can put tubes in them. Just get some from a local tire shop. They can't be too expensive.

Tubes are OK but new tires are much better. Tubes have a tendancy to pop without any prompting or warning. They will work, but may leave you stranded sometime.

I'm going to go with tubes. This thing will be lucky if it makes it around the yard 3 times in a year. It just bugs me to see it all deflated.

^ Thats the thing, the 3 times you go to use it they may fail on you...
I DESPISE tubes!! They almost always shear the valve stem without warning. You can get cheap tires for 40$ a piece or so and tubes cost me 15-20$ and another 10-20$ each to install.
When I have a side wall or rotted tires, I just throw them away - even if it hurts :D

What causes the valve stems to shear? I just put new tubes in my 110. One of them only lasted one day.:wondering Is there any way to maybe reinforce the valve stem area to prevent this?

Tubes have almost always worked for me, and no issues. I have never seen one sheer at the valve stem on any of mine. Maybe its the brand of tube you are buying? Or tighting the valve stem nut WAY too tight, or not inflating correctly. You air it up until the bead seats, then let it ALL out, air it up to 5 psi or whatever you run, and your good to go! Most of the ones I run are Kenda brand, and seem super strong and reliable. They run around $15 to $20 a piece. I say go for it.
