I'm on my 3rd set of Turf Tamers. The first 2 all have different circumferences after mounting. What's going on? I'll be mounting the 3rd set today.

I'll be the first to say it, buy a set oftrailpro they will out last 20 pairs of Turf Tamers. :w00t: Then, when and if they were to wear out you have two boat anchors.

You adjust your tire pressure to make up the difference

I have a set of trailpros that were used during the Civil War.

I started to look up tires too. Probably going to buy a set for next year. For a good cheap tire I've been using Cheng Shin-Lumberjacks. I'll look into a set of trailpro. Beets

Some tires (turf tamers seem to be pretty bad about it) stretch more when you have to air them up to seat the bead. And thats normally where it comes from. The serious Dirt/Asphalt drag race guys actually buy their tires by circumferences (normally already mounted too, its called roll-out size) for exactly this reason.

[Qoute] Are you running them on pavement?

Tires will be used on dirt only. Hard riding. Pretty much beating the chit out of them. Like my last pair.

Doesn't work, Tried it, plus they won't slide/handle right if there's too much air in them.

are you running them on pavement alot?, that will wear them out quick! They are good tires, but they do not last as long as others.

I have them mounted on Hipers so changing them is a breeze.

I have the same issue with Holeshot tires - Both the HD and the XCR. I also put a strap around them during seating so I don't stretch the tire but that doesn't seem to eliminate the problem either.

If I air up the right tire to match the 4PSI on the left, I have to put 15PSI in the friggen thing :( Has to be different molds.....

There's no bead seating on the dual bead lock Hiper's so you can't streeeeatch them.

Next time we get the roll-out size. This mxing and matching, mount and dismount tires is for the birds.

Thats abit much, i was talking a slight difference like 4psi in one and 6 in the other. If its that far off then yes you need a new tire or both. I like the Carlise Badlands (copy of holeshots) they seem to be a better made tire imo

Thats the thing, I buy expensive and what should be a good tire; over 70$ a tire anyhow.....

I strapped them and mounted them and this is what I end up with.....

I've had some that like you said just a couple PSI fixes the issue, but not this set

Finally got a matched set. 55 inch circ. PIA to keep changing tires but I'm not riding on one tire that's about 1 inch shorter in height than the other. Rule of thumb. Order at least 3 sets of TT to get a matched set. BTW Have fun changing 3 sets of tires on metal wheels if you don't have a tire machine.

^ thats not good news.. Most of us are at the mercy of the shop we get them from and of course they are always a "special order" so there's nothing to pick and choose from.

Maybe this is why we find good deals on bad tires

I ordered the 3rd set from DK at regular price. 1st set was on sale, and they sent me another set when I told them of the problem free of charge. The replacement set was the same. And they sent a UPS call tag to ship them back. Good deal yes. Good supplier definatly. I couldn't be happier. Just the TT's have a problem.
