I see from the Clymer book that the wrist pin dia. is 1mm more on a 125 than a 110. Can I have the rod machined out to fit the wrist pin? Is it case hardened? Should be able to have the jug bored to fit the 125 piston, correct? What about head / valve clearance?

Just curious if anybody ever tried this....

yes and no. yes its possible to do it but not practical. for one the machine work would be expensive. the rod would have to be removed from the crank. it would weaken the rod. it would be much easier to get a big bore piston made specifically for the 110. i don't have any current info off hand but i do know they are out thier. you see them on ebay all the time and i think powroll still has them.

Another reason is the wrist pin offset. 110 and 125 have a different crank.
