Carb Adjust - How To?

Is there a how-to on carb adjustment? It looks like i am running rich as the plug is black after about 30 min of running...it also won't idle very well at that point either although it does idle fine for the first 10 - 15 minutes. I have a 200M

is this for 4 strokes or two strokes or is there a difference?

The jetting sticky was written based on my experience with 2-strokes mainly but the same principles apply. Some adjustments may be different on different carbs like the air screw might operate differently but other than that, it's all the same stuff.
