Whats the big difference if something is air cooled rather than liquid cooled? Is it the air cooled can't be ran as long or what? I was wondering cause I might get a build an air cooled R but if it can't run for long periods of time I'll just spend the extra money on a liquid.

It depends on which camp you are talking to, air or liquid cooled owners prefer their own types for different reasons. The same motor built to exact specs (one liquid cooled and one air cooled), the liquid cooled should pull more power because of the liquid cooling.
As far as longevity goes, it just depends on ambient air temp, carburetion (lean or rich), and how hard you are running the bike and for how long you are running it hard.

Like said, if tuned properly you can run an air cooled all day long with no problems, I like mine. :beer

Yah it's a matter of preference. I like the air cooled better as they are simpler and there's less to worry about when it comes to failure.

Long as the machine is running properly you'll have no problems.
