Hey im new here and a new trike owner so thought i would introduce myself and show you what i have. so if you have any idea what i should do to it let me know im always up for ideas. so what i have i have a 1985 atc 250sx. its a sweet trike and i like it but yes it does need work.....i know but its nice for what i got it for the guy i got it from wanted like 400 bones for it and i didn't have any cash so i gave him 1 acoustic guitar,1 4 string bass, and 2 amps for it so when he said ok i jumped on the opportunity. what do you guys think?

now for my question i was wanting to fix my trike up and make it look really cool so i was wondering if the plastics on a atc 250r will fit mine.....will they fit right or need modified to fit correctly?

Well as you can see the front on the 250sx is a lot wider than the 250r, so to get the front fender to work you would want to swap out your forks/triple tree for that of a 1st gen (not sure about 2nd) 200x or 2nd or 3rd gen 250r, plus you would get front disc brakes and a skinnier front tire which i think are better for trails.

250R plastics are not even close. It will take alot of "mod'ing" - good luck to you - welcome to 3 wheeler world!

Welcome. I like the sx, looked at a few myself. I'm curious, does reverse work in your bike?

yea actually it does work very well when i got it it had no brakes so it wouldn't work so i put rear brakes on it and poof they worked it still needs some things but a good bike

I think reverse on a trike would be cool (course, I'd probably manage to run over my legs in BOTH directions, somehow...).

Post a wanted in the classifieds here, maybe someone has some plastics for you.

yea i have put a post up cuz i need the front fender and the rear fenders also need the headlight assembly and a grab bar and id like to get a pair of spacers for the rear to give it that wide stance
