What happened to the racers?

I have always wondered what happend to the trikes that dean sundal rode and all the other racers rode trikes back in the eighties. Are the pros trikes in musiems? Does anyone know someone or have a trike that was raced back in the eighties? Thanks

Honda usually scraps most of the race trikes/bikes and keeps only couple in there in house museum. every now and then they releses photo's

I used to have a trike that was a racer in the eighties. The motor was ridiclas, but the prewvous owner of the guy I got it from crashed it bad. the axle was bent, swingarm trashed, handle bars bent, the forks and tripple clamps were bent, it had a short trax kit on it(but in very bad shape). the only thing on it that good was the frame, engine, pegs and front hub. I have a pic of it somewhere. I guy saw me atempting to fix it and took it off my hands for more than I paid for it.

By the way i still have my 250R that i raced in the 80's.

it has the exact same motor mods, suspension,short track kit,clutch kit, as on Marty Harts 250R.

it also has a 2001 CR 250R ignition, boyeseen rad valve, tappered bearing carrier.

i was working on aluminum swingarm, new air box (like on Harts 250R), and aluminum sub frame.

Hey... I saw this bike first hand. :shock: .. it should be in a museum! Very impressive! Good thing I'm not an 'R' collector, or I'd be morgaging the house! :D
