My motor builder is also booked and usually has 20 motors ahead but thats what you get when you find a good builder. What all do you want done? your crank in good shape? I know he usually has at least one or two ported cylinders ready to go.

ESR also has some nice deals on their new cylinders right now if you want to jump it up to a 310 its around $600 for a complete top end.

LONG TIME NO HEAR-how are things?
Crank-I cannot tell you, bought trike used, I did quick rod clearance with the manaul/feeler guage was over the limit so I think it needs(and I want to)the cases split-oil came out not to good-silver lined and gray-changed it 4 times and I had clutch issues too on this motor-

Good here, what you been up to?

I think the short rod is discontinued but you could do a long rod spacer plate motor and still get a honda crank. I would personally go this route before I bought a hot rod crank.

stupid question, but how about just staying stock with a mild cylinder reworking and reeds, the usually stuff-I need the low-mid range forthe tight trails here in NJ-not alot of wide open riding here to date-
many guys here rebuild, I have seen posts on Eric Gorr-he the man around here to send your motor too???

I'm not sure what part of NJ you're in but a very good friend of mine is a machinist and he can rebuild it. Actually two very good friends of mine have a ton of 250R experience and either one can do an awesome job for you. One of them is near West Milford, NJ and the other is near Tom's River. Let me know which of them you want to talk to and I'll PM you with the phone number.
