Hello guys im new to the forum jest getting back into riding,fixn up my trike. i need to replace the rear barings in my 225dr and cant get the axle out to get to them. any help and or tricks of the trade would be great thank you:wondering

monroemike thank you for your help i got the shaft out tonight. Now i just have to pull the race thats sezed in the housing no big deal thanks again

soak in oil ,get a bucket or pan or trash can filled with used motor oil,and soak and wait.could take a week or more depending how rusty everything is patients is the master here.

Great. If you can't get the race out by pulling, try knocking it out from the other side with a pry bar. The bend in the end should be able to catch the edge.

thanks ill do that i got a slide hammer wit a 3claw puller i was thinking of trying that out

just did this job3 times.changed all three of my trikes bearings.monroe mike is right on pbblaster a hammer<big one>and a curved end prybar.worked everytime,a little heat too.:Bounce

I havent played with since i took the axle out. i got to go out of town for work tried to spend less time in the garage, more time with the wife ill mess with it next week end. Im goin to look at a honda 185s also,more toys. ill be shure to let you know as soon as i do tho.

You don't have the first one fixed and you're getting another.
