i bought an 85 250R a few months ago and the letters PR are etched into the cylinder just wondering if anyone knows what that stands for, i am guessing some work is done to the motor. any ideas?

Could be PR Racing Engines out of Toledo, OH. Back in the day they went by Power Rider. They did the work on my R motor.

I'd say it's very likely then. They didn't stamp/engrave mine. Not sure why but it's pretty common practice.

Yep that is probably a PR racing cylinder. They are a local machine shop here in toledo. They do good work and are well known in the racing circuit.
