I think the 85/86 ATC pegs are the same, and the TRX pegs are different, but Im not 100% on that.

86-87 trx250r are bolted with plates, 88-89 trx250r are bolted with pegs only...
I found a thread but idk about the info though, http://3wheelerworldforums.com/showthread.php?t=16702&highlight=trx250r+footpegs

well both 85-86 atc250r are close but the 86 is one number off. but even if they had different part numbers they could bolt on still... 85 pegs are with in $10, 86 atc250r $20-$30, 86-87 trx250r $20-$50

85 footpeg is 6 5/8" long [serated part] folding type
pin is 8MM 50 MM long
the opening is 25 MM
It is held onto the frame by two 10MM bolts on 50 MM center to center
I think that the TRX is nonfolding. the only trx I have is a 300 ex and the frame bolts are more that the 50 C to C of the ATC.
I could look at my 86 tomorrow or take a tape to yours and see what you come up with.:)

85 pegs work on 86 atc and vice versa. the 86 pegs were beefier, as well as their mounting plates.
The 86-87 trx pegs will attach to the 86 atc plate with no mods. 88-89 trx pegs are out of the question if you cant fab something up.

I gave him the spec. on my 85 and told him I would ck my 86 R or he could just ck his
with mine. I just happened to see a 88R at the bike shop while picking up my wheel today and put a tape on it. I have a TIG , MIG, lathe and mill machine so I can make about any thing fit. Just trying to help the fella out. Not trying to start a pissn contest.
