Hello to all of my old school bro's! I just want to start out by saying that it is awesome that a website like this exist's, and that all of you guys love trikes like myself. I want to show you a Tri-Z that i just picked up off of craigslist tonight. It is an 85 Red & Black Z from the original owner! There is no boot wear on the frame or on the side cases!!Original plastics and stickers! I am soooo stoked! I had a 1986 Z back in the 80's. My grandfather bought it for me when i was 14 because he thought that a KX125 was too dangerous for me, so i opted for a new 86 Z. I was the coolest kid in my hood with the red & white 6 speed Z.Anyways, here is a picture of it.
I also a an 84 250r as well. I have a 04 yz250 that i primarily ride,along with a mint 87 rm250 thats soo bitchen to ride, plus a 85 rm125 that i am restoring.

Thank guys! I will take more pics in a day or two of my fleet.
I am amazed by some of the restoration jobs that some of you guys pull of. There are some awesome builds goin on out there, down to the re-zinc coating of all the nuts and bolts. I have been surfing on this site for about 6 months now and in that time it has re-hashed my memories of 3 wheeling. So i went out and picked up an aircooler a few months back and then the Tri-Z. I forgot how fun they where to ride. There are some cool guys here.

Thanks. The tri runs great! It has a new DG pipe with an answer silencer. Fired right up. Choke on 1st klick and two kicks on the kickstarter. I cant remember if my 86 Tri-Z with the 6 speed gearbox had more top end than this 85 with only a 5 speed. I think this one has about the same top end. If you have rode a Z-250 the powerband is in the mid to upper range. No bottom end what so ever with the lack of a powervalve, but more than makes up for it with the snappy ( pipey) powerband! I have read in a couple of peoples post here that thier Z-250's have great bottom end but that is totally contradictive to the lack of a powervalve. If you want to feel bottom end, get on a 85-86 250r. Those motors pull very hard in the low to mid and still pull quite well in the upper RPM's but sign off quicker than a Z-250 does. A pipe and a tad leaner jetting takes care of that. My 84 250r feels a bit quicker through the gears, but i have leaned it out a bit so it runs REALLY GOOD! I will tweak on the jetting and timing a bit with the Z to squeeze a little power out if it without porting. I absolutely love the look of the Tri-Z's over 250R's! And the ergonomics of the Z feels more comfortable too.I will take more pics when i take it out to the last session at glamis along with my other bikes in about 2-3 weeks.
