200X Gas Tank

I thought I read a thread on here at one time about installing a plastic gas tank on a 200X. Who makes a plastic tank for these or are people fitting a tank from another model on them? The tank is rusty on my 84 and I would like to upgrade it to a plastic tank if I could, otherwise I am going to acid dip it and coat the inside. What is the best stuff you can buy to coat the inside of tanks? Thanks

Clarke makes plastic tanks for the 83-85's. Theres a bunch of new plastic and used metal tanks on ebay right now.

Are there normal size plastic 200x tanks? All I can find are the oversize tanks which look goofy imo.

I did see a 200x 83-85 tank that was indeed plastic and the same shape as stock. the only thing i'm iffy on is wether or not there were threads for scoops

Thanks guy. I did see the ones on Ebay but I would like to have one that looked like stock. those ones won't allow you to use your scoops.

IMS makes one that will use scoops. Well, they used to anyway. Call them up.
