Hello,

I have been lurking for awhile and really enjoy reading about all the great trikes on here. You guys have made me start shopping for an 85 or 86 250R. While it is always easier to shop locally, it seems that these are more plentiful and in better shape in the west. Riding in the sand must be easier on machinery than wading through the mud and grime that we have in the east.

Also, I tend to like to keep things stock as I have learned from past effort that modification is a relentless disease. Sure you start out with a slip on pipe and end up with a CR500 or 450R powered beast. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but right now I'm looking at mostly original stock 250Rs.

I was wondering if there is anyone in the Phoenix, AZ area on here that would be willing to check out a trike for me? That is, without buying it out from under me? LOL. I would be happy to pay you for your time.

Other machines I currently have are a 2008 LTZ400 and I have two 1986 Fat Cats. Looking forward to reliving my youth on a three-wheeled two-stroker! I used to ride my buddy's 85 Tecate but that has been 20 years or so.

Thanks,
Mark

Thanks for the link. Are those OEM fenders on that R or Maier?

The one I'm looking at looks to be in slightly better shape with less paint rubbed off the frame and no scratches on the sides of the motor. It still has the original pipe and silencer with no rust. Also, significantly cheaper, even after shipping! The downside is that I am dealing with someone I don't know and scams are easier to find than good deals these days.

Thanks, again.
