Now am working on my free 200m. (Third free 200 in five days: 200es 200e 200m). It does not have spark. I think it is prolly the neutral switch. All the power wires meter out but the neutral light does not come on. Is there any way to test the neutral sw with a meter or to jump it to see if that is my prob?

I don't think you need the neutral swith if you are using the pull rope.
Did you tried a new park plug?

I do not have a good recoil starter so I am jumping the elec. start. But, my 85 sx will not start w/ the kicker if the neutral wire is off (bought it for nothing b/c of this. Plugged it up and 2 kicks later was riding. Wire broke later and it would not start again until fixed) So donno about the m but my sx has to have the switch working to run.

Update: Ok the neutral switch is working. The bulb needed to be cleaned. Replaced the coil with one off of a running 86 200x. The pulse generator meters out. The pulse rotor is turning when the engine turns over. The handlebar stop switch is working properly according to the meter. The key switch does not meter out at all. I unpluged it and still no fire. I also umpluged the kill switch and still no fire. The switch has power to it but not through it. I plugged direct the starter power and it turns over with the starter button. What do I try now? I do not have a cdi to swap and try.

Do you have nice blue spark at the plug?

Update: the rotor for the pick up was prolly 5 times too far away. It now has fire but it is pretty weak. The pick up is about worn out.
