Big Red timing chain adjustment

hey everyone, my girlfriend's family has a 1985 Big Red 250. For anyone in the family to ride including me!:TrikesOwn

Just wondering how you can adjust the timing chain, just for preventative maintance. I tihnk I heard somewhere they have an automatic tensioner. If not could anyone tell me how to adjust it. I'm sure it hasn't been adjusted in a while(since her grandpa passed away) it was his and he took awesome care of it. All original.

Automatic adjuster, I just rebuilt mine.

i have a link to download the manual in my sig. the 85-87 250es is the same engine as the sx. so download the 250sx manual and use it to do the work you need.
