I am having a problem with it running rich. I have cleaned it to death, tried every setting, I can turn the air/fuel mixture screw all the way in and I can still keep it running. Shouldnt this cut the fuel off and make it stall? Why would it keep running? Thanks

turning the screw in will make it idle faster, turning it out will make it run slower...also i had alot of prolems with my dx carb you may want to rebuild it i used a rebuild kit for a Yfm200

if you are turning your air screw all the way in and it is still running than it is to rich it needs to be leaned out but rich is safer than lean and lean is faster than rich!!!!!!! i don"t think Kerick is reading your thread right he is talking about the idle screw

Thats what I thought, but what could be the reason for it running too rich? Everything looks good. Could the carb just be screwed up somehow?
