Its been forever since I've been on. Recently had a car accident and wife was in the car and 7 months pregnant, so we have been super busy with Dr. visits, chiropractor, insurance companies, etc...etc...etc....:(

Anyway, I need a new exhaust for my 185s suspension. Not sure exact rules for AZ but I know they need a spark arrester and I also don't want it to be too loud. What would be a good one, or could a 200x exhaust work?

I also need a carb for it, as I put the one I had on my 200M because that carb was good for nothing but as I've heard on here once before, "throwing it at stray dogs" or something like that, in case anyone has one that is ready to go sitting around.

You need to use an exhaust that fits a 200x. A DG hard chrome or X-cellerator are probably your best bets for a new exhaust. With alot of searching you may be able to find an older nos exhaust, the best being a supertrapp, bassini or PK racing.

I do have a stock 200x exhaust that isn't being used. Would one of those you mentioned be even more of a step up for the trike though?

You will have to use a 200x. Stock is better than none, but you may have clearance issues with a stock exhaust and the 185 fenders. An aftermarket 200x exhaust is the ticket. You can still get the DG exhausts off of ebay rather easily. An aftermarket store probably has them listed in their catalog also. Cobra exhaust is cheaper, but they are crap. The DG hard chrome will have a longer life expectancy and they look really sharp.

Cottonwood, I believe I have a solution to your exhaust dilemma. I posted it in your want ad in the classifieds section. You should be able to use a supertrapp universal muffler with your existing pipe. You would have to unbolt that can that is on your pipe now. There are a couple mounting options that you can use. You can probably get away with fixing your exhaust for less than $100. It will be nicer than what is on your bike now. It won't be nearly as loud, it will be a tuneable muffler and it will have an approved spark arrestor. Should be a big improvement. You have your choice of either the economy steel muffler with the tuning discs in 3" muffler or you can use the more expensive aluminum 4" muffler that has the weld on mount on it. Not sure what the aluminum mufflers are going for these days, they were close to $100 last year, maybe a little more now. The aluminum muffler looks like what is on the 350x supertrapp exhaust system. With the steel muffler, it is painted hi temp black and has the tuning discs too. With the steel muffler, you would have to use universal exhaust hangers, but it's no big deal really and you don't really have to fabricate or weld anything. If you have someone that can weld aluminum or Tig weld for you, you could weld the muffler to the existing exhaust pipe and make it almost look factory or at least pretty clean looking without alot of bolt on clamps and stuff. You have options. You can pm me for more info if you would like.

Thanks for all the help with the exhaust, I'm going to look for the supertrapp universal you mentioned Veal, thanks again!

Trizilla the shock says yamaha monocross 3GG-00 on it. A neighbor of mine works at a powersports shop and brought it home to put on because the blue one that was on it was in pretty bad shape. It fit about perfect other than the top bolt hole being a little too wide, so we just used a grinder and took a little off.

Here is a steel supertrapp universal muffler that I had Tig welded to an aftermarket headpipe for a bw200. Cheaper and not quite as fancy as the aluminum universal, but well worth the money. Has a spark arestor built in and is tuneable by adding or removing the discs.
