View Full Version : New tires on Big Red
I just installed some new rims and tires on my BR today. 27x12-10 Mud Bug on 10x8 ITP aluminum rims.
They look good, and work great. Was a little worried about power but had no problems.

rears look awesome, but the front may cause you some issues. i would have looked more of a standard knobby style for the front but it still looks good. how does it ride?

Front works excellent actually. There is lots of clearance. I have the tire running backwards so it "collects" so it steers really well. I've had it on about 6 months and had no problems. I had a couple of knobbys on before and this works much better.
Overall the trike rides better because the bigger tires don't drop into every little hole. I am running about 1lb in the rear and 2 in the front so there is lots of give.

Yeah what's up with the tractor, no PTO, no 3 points, just a draw bar...???

One thing I noticed when I installed similar tires on mine is the rougher ride, even with the suspension the ride is much rougher with these type tires! :( but the traction in the mud makes up for it! :D

I think my trike rides better, tires don't drop into every little hole because they are bigger. They are not very pliable though compared to a 2ply

This type of tractor pretty much only pulls harrows, plow, seeders, that type of thing. It is a dedicated field tractor.
This is the model:
