View Full Version : Help Frozen Up Swing Arm Bolt!!!!

I HAVE AN 84 250R HONDA AND THE SWINGER IS STUCK.


I WANT TO FIX THAT AND I ALSO NEED TO PUT NEW BEARINGS IN THE CARRRIER

IS THIS A PAIN OR A CAKE WALK JOB ANY SUGGESTION?

Judging by your machine, it's probably a pain. The bolt really likes to seize and chances are you will need a new one once the hammering settles down. The 84's and under are hard to find too, but the 85's are plentiful on ebay. Do a quick search, there are tons of threads on this along with tips to get it out!

do a search there is alot of info on this ........ if you do the "hit two hamers together " trick wrap the hammer you are hitting with ductape

Do a search, there are numerous people who have needed help with this. It is a pain in the trailprotrailpro I would recommend heating it til it gets real hot, then grab a block of wood or somthing and a sledge hammer and give her hell. you could also spray it down with penetrating oil and let it soak for a while. DO A SEARCH!!
