hi everyone, recently i picked up an 84 atc 200x. the guy i got it from used to race it and ran alcohol then when he switched it to run gas he leaned it out and cooked the rings. so i got it for free put a stock piston in it and honed it a little to get rid of some fine groves, and used new gaskets, started it up and it ran good smoked but ran good, so i drove it for about 30 minutes then it just shut off. tried starting it but nothing. its getting fuel and it has great spark. i thought that maby it was the timing so i checked that and its fine.
im completly stumped. wat can i do to fix this or what is wrong. thanks tom

I guess check airbox leaks, electrical connections like the killswitch wiring, plugged fuel line

rigth now airbox is not hooked up, oh and it has a bigger racing cam in it also. ill check the wiring. im just really stumped on this one. it dosent take much to make a 4 stroke run, fuel compression spark. i also ordered a new carb for it, thanks

this has happened to me if it is not getting oil to the top end and the cam with siece u can tell if this happened bc it is a little bit harder to kick over

maby ill check that but its not hard to kick, or harder anyway. from what i read it has a stage 2 cam in it. im thinking the timing has to be off. after a ton of kicks it will pop out the exhaust. and it feels like theres air coming from the exhaust and the carb when u kick it, so maby a bent valve or something, thanks
