Another 250r

I picked this up 2 nights ago. I have alot of 250r parts kicking around so did some cleaning. cleaned carb , replaced a few parts . Still needs a grab bar and fork seals .But my total investment so far is $700. Yes it runs good but is abought ready for some clutch work , but I have some extra motors so I'll just snag one out of them. Should make for a ok trail machine:w00t:

Not swaping motors just a clutch I hope. Plans right now to just put on a grab bar of some sort and tool box , skid plates , thumb throttle , rplace the fork seals and boots, then ride the snot out of it.

I do too. I check it multiple times during the day at work. But I mainly check Rockford and Madison. I guess I need to keep an eye on Chicago too.

Sorry, Kevin. He's getting his old beater sixpack rack back. It's fugly but free. ;) Course, I suppose that's not to say he couldn't end up with both if he wanted but turnabout's fair play. He gave this rack to me when I needed one, it's only fair I give it back now that he has a use for it.

Oh, Itrike, The brown cooler went on to it's final resting place. RIP. A pile of junk fell on it in my shed and broke it sometime during the winter. I might have a nicer cooler that fits. I'll check tonight.

Whats wrong with the clutch?I am having issues with mine as well on a new R I recently aquired-it doesnt have anything when I put it in gear with motor running-it does go in not running so I assume it is the clutch-I mic'd the plates and they came in under specs, as did the discs,the inner is missing a spring as it was snapped clean off, would that be the issue for sure?
Also, what a good basket, clutch combo for these 250r's that are bulletproof-it is a trail ridder.

Going to see a college this Saturday, are you making it a full weekend outing? As for the R, I wouldn't be able to give more than $600 for it. Wait for the right guy, man. That R is worth way more than what I can afford to give you.
