So last weekend i rode my 300ex/250r down to the pit, i pull in and my motor seizes. I look it over, and the connection on the jug has came out of the jug that runs to the radiator. Not the hose... Its like a pressed in fitting i guess. May have been JB Welded by the previous owner i guess. So I'm bout to rip into and see what i find. Not exciting at all. Wish me luck.... :wondering

Good thing you didn't sell it. The buyer would have been torqued if it blew up right after buying it lol.

Yeah, definitely. I couldnt sell it though. This thing is too much fun. I love 2 strokes.
So i went and kicked it over one last time. Wasnt seized anymore, but had no compression. Tore into it. Piston is melted. How am i supposed to seal this head back where it wont blow apart again. Or should I buy a new head?
Where could i get a cheap big bore kit? or should i just save my money and bore this one out. To be honest it may still be able to just be honed. Cylinder isnt bad at all. I really want a big bore though.
Give me a second and ill add some pictures.

Heres how the head came apart. Looks like it just pressed in, but it seems pretty loose. You can push it in and pull it out pretty easy.
And also pictures of my poor piston.

So if i order a 310 Sleeve kit, am i loosing reliability? Seems like it would be alot thinner walls to cool down the motor. Seems like a good deal to me 280 dollars for the sleeve, cylinder spacer, piston, rings, and gaskets.
Anyone running this sleeve in there original cylinder?
