I don't think it will be easy. Welcome to the zoo.

thanks for the welcom. i just got this thing running good and broke the pull rope thought it might be more reliable to have it kickstart.

Changing out the rope is not too hard. If fact I had to put one on my ATC200 today.

Rebuilding a pull starter: 10-30 minutes ( rope cost $2-3 at hardwarestore )
Modifying a 200m Bottom end to add kick start: many, many hours ( No to mention parts could cost well over $100 and NO garuntee ( sp? ) it would work ) .

remember not to take the coil out when rewinding the rope, wind it up then tie the knot and it will pull in the handle. the coil is hell to get back in, good luck

I need to do a video on how easy it is to put the "spring" ( you call it a coil ) back in. A couple years ago at TF I took a good pullstarter off a machine, took it completely apart then re-assembled and installed it in under 10 minutes. It takes under a minute to install the spring using the method I use.

Sure you could put a kickstarter on your 200m. It just takes lots of duct tape!!! LOL Welcome to the site. Seriously though, you would just be better off fixing what you have. If you want a fancier set up, then you may just want to try and find you a sportier trike. Mods like that can be real heart breakers and wallet breakers unless you have a whole lot of old busted up machines at your disposal. Best of luck with whatever you decide.

Can you put up a picture of the recoil starter? I may have one. I have a good recoil starter I got from somewhere that looks like it would fit my 185 or 200 but does not have the hole for the decompression cable.

yea, why are you NOT using the electric start?
If starter is bad then replace it for like $12-$15 off ebay
If relay is bad repalce it for like $$7-10 on ebay
If battery is bad repalce it for like $25-$35 from most shops or ebay
Pushing a button to start a motor "Priceless"
