This is the 250r that floated in saltwater for a very long time during the hurricane. It was exceptionally nice before that happened. I am unsure if i am going to do a 480 conversion, mugen or go back semi stock. Anyway this is what i have done today. still have a while to go. Everything takes really long to do because of all the rust.

Look how rusty the cylinder is. This was after soaking in wd-40 for 7 months. It is still froze solid.

^ Kroil is VERY good stuff!!

We never saw pics of this when it happened, sorry to see this Barry. I can't imagine what happened to the rest of the home and it's contents. But, WOW, that cylinder is soooo corroded along with everything else I'm sure.

Has the house been repaired since??

This was at my brother in laws house. His house is on stilts and he rents me the garage built underneath. When the storm surge came it blew out 2 of the walls in the garage. everything was flushed out to the bay, but this 3 wheeler stayed. My brother in law is still waiting on insurance to fix his home.

Go to your nearest marina/ marine supply store and ask for engine tuner (made by Bombradier for Johnson and Evinrude), power tune ( made by Mercury) or any local equivalent. It will free up that cylinder. Load it up real good and let it sit for a day or 2. It is designed to remove carbon but does a great job on rust and even works excellent for soaking carbs and jets. Try it, you'll like it.
