Wow very nice. I love the 85 Big Red. It seems like they are owned by old dudes quite a bit and you see them in this shape when that is the case lol

Nice..... I think you need to change your screen name. It's not too fitting considering the looks of that machine.

thats definately on of the cleaner 85's ive seen, actually looks about as clean as mine. same senario, 67 year old owner. I got mine for 900.00 bucks though:w00t: owner could not get it started. He was only asking 1500.00 to begin with. So its hard to say what its worth, all depends on the person. If you love trikes, its probably worth more to you then anyone else, so just keep it!! There great machines, congrats

You won't get $4000 for it. If the right person comes alomg, maybe $2000. But people are still underestimating the effects of the current economy when they think they can get high dollars for things that aren't rare but clean. Even if the ecomomy was strong, you would have to be in the right place at the right time to find someone who would put up $4000 for a common big red. I'm not trying to bring you down. I'm just a realistic person and expressing a realistic opinion. Just keep it, ride it and enjoy it. Fporget about the value and you'll be able to get more out of owning it.

maybe on ebay, but you would have to put a ton of info about the bike, and a ton of pictures... But I agree with Hoosier Daddy, just ride it...

Don't listen to this guy- his minty 350X spends about as much time upside-down landing on the ORIGINAL MUD FLAP as it does on the wheels! :D
I'd run it, but very carefully. I bet you could get over 3K for it on Egay.

value is found in the eye of the buyer/seller.

That is one sweet looking BR, I'd love to get one someday to plow my driveway in the winter time.. As far as it's worth, it doesn't really matter, as long as you're happy with it

Ive seen big reds here in canada over 3500 to 4000 that would worth more due to that fact that its not a rebuild its orginal.

Now you've seen two!! :D Mine had about 400 km when I bought it, also from an older gent. I paid 1k!
Great bike, dont' think you'd get 4k, not in this economy anyways. I'd say, with luck you may get 2500$. You can buy a lot of ATV for 4k, pretty rare to find someone who will shell out 4k for a trike and not a quad, not that it couldn't happen...;)
