I notice that they don't just seem to come out. Do you guys have special tools or presses? Or do you take the parts into a shop to let them press in new bearings?

I replaced my carrier bearings by smacking them out with a pipe from the opposite side. I placed the the new bearings in the freezer for a day and then heated the carrier in the oven. I used my BBQ gloves and they went in each side easy. I had to hold them in 'till it cooled or they would have fallen out.

hahaha sumtimes it take some odd tools and alot of frustration to start beating the f out of them if you get everything out but the outer raceway dremel 2 cuts in it and pry it to snap out just how i do it i know bearing pullers are nice also

I just beat them out from the opposite side with a ling punch. Make sure you work the punch back and forth (dont hit the same spot twice in a row) or the bearing will wedge in there tighter than shat.

Takes agood beating to get em out sometimes.
