Cig Lighter

Is there a mod to put a cigarette lighter on my 200x? I figure ill prob. need a better stator too. I want one to power my cell/gps when I go camping with this guy later this spring/summer.

Anyone done this yet? Is there a kit?

you ahould be able hardwire a 12v access outler to any wire that is always hot in the headlight bucket

as far as putting to much load on the stator i wouldnt know im sure someone on here must have experience with this on their atv or motorcycle

You can do it, but it should be run off a battery, like on a Big Red or similar type bike with a starter battery. The problem with stator power is that it's not "clean" and won't run stuff very well. Best bet is to just run it to charge the batteries on your gear when your zipping around...at idle it won't do much at all.

I'd probably look into a cheap solar power charger that will run small stuff like a GPS really easy. It will even charge your car battery by plugging it into the lighter to boot!!
