Well I got my 200x all torn down to the frame and ready to start sand blasting. I have a nice set of maier red plastics a blue seat and was thinking about doing flat black on the motor (needs the top end rebuilt) gloss black on the frame and white on the swingarm with some satin wheels (excile style!!!) maybee white bars with black grips.. any way I have alot to do before then. Let me know what you think:beer

Looks good man! That PJ-1 clear works about the best. I think it has acrylic in it (the same stuff they use in nail polish) so it dries pretty hard. and a clearcoat will bring out the color in all the parts better!

nice job so far!!!

I used rustoleium grey primer and started to use some trailpro that was in the basement and wasn't happy with the results so I went and got some krylon rust tough at advanced and it layed down real nice. Using 800grit between coats. I was looking for pj-1 but got this instead. I'm real happy so far we'll see how it holds up in a couple months when the motor is all done. Found a local guy that ports & polishes so maybee if his price is ok I will get him to clean the head up a bit

The only places I've ever seen PJ-1 for sale is our local motorbike dealerships. I'm pretty sure you can get it online too. It's expensive.. but holds up great!

Should look real good with the white swinger and red fenders.

looks great! only thing i startd doing with all my restores.
i use hardening spray-on bedliner ont he bottom of the frame and skidplates. why? it last soo mcuh longer and holds up way better than paint to being scraped and pounded on.
