I know we give you some crap around here for being a bit over the top on the air fooler love (I still think the jehovas witness bit was hillarious, lol). I gotta say though, your site is pretty slick and the reason for this post is the interview with Brett Driscoll you have on there.

Well done man.

Well done man.

Thank you. Really appreciate the kind words. The Driscoll interview is the first to go 'live' - I have a few more in the bag and they will go up weekly. Another half dozen are being finished. Some really big names from back in the day. I feel honored to talk with them. (some through email, others by phone.)

Also looks like some rare 80's racing footage is going to come from this eventually. I'll be putting it on a DVD for the whole community.

Anyways, thanks again Dammit for the nice words. :beer

Awesome interview man!

This quote makes me all fuzzy and makes me wish I was around to catch some old Baja three wheeling. I'm a huge fan of the Baja, and races down in the desert.

"..I remember a baja race. I ran out of gas, bummed some old gas and car motor oil of a local. I eye-balled the oil mixture, poured in my tank, shook the three wheeler a couple times and raced 40 more miles to the next pit, then another 100 miles to finish 1st in class 43 open. Later I was told by several mechanics that doing that was near impossible... "

I hear ya! What I found so funny about that quote was he was talking about the Mugen 360 and how durable it is/was! Imagine 'these days' a Mugen owner doing that? Never!

It boggles my mind how all the cool stuff that is so rare and sacred to us was so common and 'disposable' to those guys back then.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I have a feeling you'll really like some of the upcoming stuff we have for you all. :beer

Exactly - and unlike 83, even if you have 'the money' to afford one you can't just go out and buy one. :(

If anyone is interested - we just posted a new interview with former Mugen research and Testing rider 'Craig Corda' - peace guys!

Heck yeah! I just spent the last hour and a half on your site, and you're not going to get any crap from this Tecate guy. I haven't ridden an air-cooled R(other than my CR480R a year ago) since my stepdad traded for a cherry '82 back in '85, but I believe I'll end up with a first or second Gen. R in addition to what I have.

Great job on the site and the interviews:beer
