1983 Honda 185s

I have a 185s and i need to know if anyone can tear the engine apart and see if they can fix it or tell me what i need to buy for it. It ran until last November and then just quit one day and I'm not an engine person at all so I could really use some help.

How do you know it requires an engine tear down? I'd start with the basics - spark - gas - air.......................

I agree carbed is probably gunked up.

Was it running bad before it stopped? Smoking, noisey, cutting out? Does it still turn over?

It ran strong before it died, just a little smoke and it was a little loud. It does still turn over and has spark and fuel but it just won't start.
