just thought i'd share this info. just recieved my oem head gasket from bike bandit. and was surprised too see a 3-layer gasket like for the trx 250r. apparrently due to the asbestos in the originals. also, its states that the o-ring should not be used on the right-rear dowel! has anyone used these yet?:wondering

Yeah I just installed one on my 200x. It kind of threw me for a minute until I read the sheet that came with it. You don't use the o-ring and one of the dowels gets removed.

yes. work great! I got a can of copper spray gasket and hosed mine down. then used a little bit of hi-temp silicone around my dowels and put it together. No issues. this is on my hopepd up 200e too. shoudl not be any problems for you.

so........does it hold oil with no oring?- i run this 3 layer style gasket on my 85 250r. only cause it seals better but lowers compression since its thicker. anyway no problems then?

Just an fyi, I don't know if it is the same in the States, but here in Canada the 185s head gasket is $10 more than the 200x head gasket but they are the same head gasket!
