As you might know, I have been trying to find a 350x or 250r. I have had 2 failed auctions. One of the failed auctions was because the seller had the 3 wheeler all in parts and he thought that he was missing some of the parts.

He called me today and gave me a special price on the parts that he has because "he does not want to ship them"

To make a short story out of this, I am not much of a mechanic and I have never seen a 250r in person. So how hard are they to build? What problems should I be looking for?

Its not that difficult.. with all the people on this board willing to help. Get a service manual, and do work. The learning is the best part. The next one will go even easier. Its all about getting your feet wet. If you get overwhelmed take a break.
I'd say do it..

How much do you think that I should pay for those parts in the auction?

Thanks again,

Ryan

He has new wheels and tires in another auction. Does he have the frame in an auction? Offer him $800 for everything and go from there. All you need is a starting point. Send him an e-mail through ebay and talk to him about it. He may not be willing to end all of the auctions. You never know..

this is the same guy who screwed you over before? Still dealing with him? Id say I want everything you got for less than you were supposed to pay before because you thought he had everything now he says he doesnt. Or just buy a runner and dont deal with this f00.

Yes, this is the same guy. He has offered me everything he has for less then I bought the "runner for". I would rather pay more for a runner since my mechanical skills are very limited. I have been looking in a 100 mile radius for over 6 months but, a 250r or a 350x runner is very hard to find around here.

Btw, I would rather have a 350x because, I am more familiar with a 4 stroke.

If this guy dicked with you before, I'd avoid him like an STD.

Depending on what it's missing and what it costs you, you may want to grab something complete.

The economy stinks and nice stuff is there for the taking!

It can be a long frustrating task to assemble something that you aren't that familiar with and can get costly.

I'm sure you can find a 2500$ 250R for about 1200-1500$ at this time.....

Best thing to do is to just be paitient, it will turn up!

When I wanted a 350X, I watched for over a year and one finally popped up (1400$) and I was very glad I waited instead of jumping on junk....

The same quality 350X was grabbing 2500$ at that time :D

offer him $450 MAX. there's a LOT missing.
radiators, and more. It's going to cost you about $450 in parts jsut to get it together and that's if everythign he gave you is in perfect shape. (doubt it by how this guy's an ass).

as peopel tell you, stay away from him and low ball him to death. $450 MAX otherwise keep looking.
