I have the motor out of the 200s, i want to clean it, it has a lot of crud aroud the valve covers and stuff, i dont want to pressure wash it so what do you guys use to cut the crud? just got a plastic tank from a member, so Im in buisiness, i want to get it back together.

Taping up or covering all openings is a must. If you are worried about using the harsh chemicals like carb cleaner or degreaser around your house, Simple Green works really well with cold water. A couple small plastic bristle brushes and old tooth brushes work pretty well to get in the little nooks and crannies. Also a couple of copper wire bristled brushes work real nice after you get all the major crud off. It's mostly just alot of sweat and elbow grease though. Best of luck. Post some before and after pictures too.

Castrol Super Clean worked great years ago when I was a mechanic. I have no idea if it is still available or not.

we use oven cleaner it works great

I have this biodegradable degreaser that comes in a 1 gallon jug that I use with a toothbrush. I think it is similiar to Simple Green. Works pretty good and you don't have to worry about it staining the engine or your patio.

i love purple power!!!! that stuff eats anything and cleans everything!!!!! but be warned i'll chap your hands for days if you don't use gloves.

we use oven cleaner it works great Just to let you know, oven cleaner it will eat aluminum and drys rubber. Don't use Greased Lightning either. Ruined an aluminum cover using it. Beets
