Here's My 85 that i decided to put together with many of the extra parts i have acquired over the years. I did a mild re-do of my other 85 last winter and figured i'd put together a nice rider. Stone stock tecate cylinder with oem nicasil, new crank, bearings "crank & trans" all new oem seals throughout, every bearing in chassis replaced. Fenders and tank from my old bike, oem Tecate stator, cdi and Ricky fly. Small 34mm Mic carb and Boyesen reeds for great snap! New fork bushings and seals and rear tires that will give this bike a great smooth ride. A fresh Mosh seat "thanks" and franks swingarm with take off 300ex shock. Topped it off with an old DG exhaust. Z400 thumb box, front and rear master cylinders and 13-38 gearing. Bikes can still be built on a budget if you plan ahead and don't do things twice. I built this to be very reliable and rideable since it will be going with me and my other 85 to the Rampage in Oklahoma in April. We will see.:naughty: I always build my bikes in my garage attic, but then i have to git them down........:wondering

Nice job Ed. How do you get them down? Don't tell me you ride them down the stairs. We have a big old early Tecate pipe hanging out in the garage. I know that it's aftermarket but that is about it. I'm not real sure why it's out there.

I was actually thinking that riding down the stairs would be the best bet.

looks good!
your title is totally misleading. it was not "found in attic" it should read, stored in attic or built in attic. i thougth this was a thread about another gold find but it's not. i'd disappointed now. :( was really hoping for another special find.. whata disappointment.
not your trike. it's great, just the subject was a disappointment. toget it down, i'd get some plywood and lay it on top of the stairs so you have a "ramp" to ride up or down when needed. you can build a couple of reverse steps so it will stay in palce.

Nice! I like the pic with the little girl and the Tecate. She's like look what I found in the attic! lol
I have thought before it would be cool to do a complete rebuild on a 250R or Tecate in the basement, attic, etc and then just leave it there to stare at :)

You pretty well rock, my old lady would kill me.
Totally off topic, and just a guess, the door is off of an older dodge?
I gotta say - that is really cool!
You hear about 'barn' finds - one day someone will, thanks to you have a 'attic find' on their hands.
Excellent work.

My 250R was technically an attic find. The attic of a garage but still...
