ive got an 85 yamaha 225 shaft no reverse cant get spark i have power on only one wire from case to cdi any ideas?

I am not sure about this one...I am electrically challenged. I am surprised none of the experts have responded. I am interested to find out the cause.

Might want to take a look at the stator.
