I am going shopping tomorrow for oils for my 86 250r.
What is a great 2 stroke mixing oil, and at what ratio.
Also, what should I use for the tranny, also, any idea how much it holds?
Thanks

I run HP-2 oil at 48-1, and HP trans oil In the red jug. You will put about 3/4 of the quart In the trans. In the clutch side cover Is a bolt with a 10mm head, above It It says oil check. Pull that bolt out, pour the oil In until It leaks out the hole. Then tip the bike over a bit to let the oil run to the oposite side. Let It sit back on 3 wheels, then fill It until oil comes out of the check hole again, put the bolt back In and your go to go.

I run HP-2 in the pre-mix. One bottle to 5 gallons gives you 40:1. That makes it easy and I like easy. I use Honda manual trans oil that I got from when I worked at the Acura dealer in the gearbox.
