Siezed motor help: what to do first

I have a siezed 200 yamaha motor and I don't know where to start. I am pretty knowledgeable about motors but not really sure where to start with this kind of job. if anybody could give me some adsise or tell me where I could find some good info I would appreciate it. thanks

I would remove head, then try and lube the top of piston, depending on how bad it is seized. In neutral, I then drive piston down as low as possible with 1X1 wood and BFH. Pry off jug as evenly as you can. Beets

what do you mean by remove jug? do you think I could get the head off without removing the whole head

No,The jug is what the piston slides up and down in. It has to come off down to the motor base.If you don't have a lot of motor knowledge I would seek help. Read the repair manual of small four strokes and go from there.

Is the piston itself seized in the sleeve or is the bottom end seized? If its the piston, then try diesel fuel. Remove the head and expose the piston. Fill the cavity with diesel and let it sit for a few days. Then try to pound it down - carefully of course using a piece of wood as a punch if needed!! I've done this a few times in the past. Worked like a charm for me. Good luck!

Hopefully it's just the piston stuck in the cylinder and not the crank seized up.

1) push to the top of a hill
2) coast down hill really fast
3) pop into gear

Worked on my Suzuki. Don't recommend it unless you were going to rebuild the whole motor anyways lol

Well I got the piston un seized using some penetrating oil. I cleaned the carb and now the thing runs great. Not bad for free. Ill but pictures up soon.

If its a four stroke you need to change the oil.

seized from setting then huh, done that be fore ,hopefully the oil rings didnt collapse on ya

This is what my cylinder walls looked like because my bike had been seized and then unseized.

Make sure to crank the motor by hand and listen for scraping. Even though you're unseized you might still need to bore or hone the cylinder.
