Well as most probably know I was building a tecate from ground up with a bunch of junk parts. Well thru adding more gray hair and less money in the bank account, I have been able to complete what I sought out to do. Well I am going to tear into the bottom end to replace the shifter shaft (next weekend) but other than brakes, I believe its ready to hit the trails. I have the key switch but havent made a bracket on the headlight frame (as I got an 86 frame from brapp) and the ebrake parts were removed since not all there. Its not a show queen or a trailer looker but I think she turned out better than I expected and cant wait to roost some trails with her. I just got the DG back from being blasted and ceramic coated black. It was ugly and I like the black look (not into the bling bling). Well anyway, this task is pretty much done, so now time to start on another haha.

I bought them off egay for a steal of 109$ shipped rims and tires. But for some odd reason the seller is no longer registered. He had tons of sets selling on there with BIN and bidding.
They are ITP C series Wheels and 20" Predator XCR-03 Holeshot tires.

WOW! That is a crackhead deal! I've got a set of 18" Holeshots for 10" rims lying in the shed that I'm going to put on the stock wheels for now but I'd like to get a set up like you've got on the back.

Hey John... The single side bead locks i run my 20s on are a factory Polaris part! Think I got both shipped for $95. Predators used then as an option, the dealers send them CHEAP!!

Awesome job Scott, that thing is 2 sweet! It nice to see a sweet 2nd gen T3 rider...That ex spring has to be kawasaki-ized, (painted or pc’ed) IMO. I'll send you a nice new Black shock cover for it!!! Better dead than RED!
Kudos to a sweet build!

Hey nice build, what make of front tire is that and whats the size?

can you give me any info on the the front rim if its stock or not, also what kind of tire is that and size

ScottZJ

The front tire is a Kenda Pathfinder 23x8x11 that I bought from Rockymountain ATV for 49$ that usually goes on a YZF 450 quad.
The rim is a 350x stock rim and fits perfect with no mods. You just need to have the tapered lugs for it to work.

Thanks for all the replies, I think I will be happy with this trike for a long time. And cant wait to finally have a tecate I can ride and not afraid of messing it up.

That is the 300ex shock that most have spoken about. Its much better than the OEM stock tecate shock and works great!

Congrats! I can't wait until the last few parts I need are delivered. Then I just need to rebuild the rear shock and it'll be ready to ride.

Well put a new petcock on it and seemed to be working good. I bought some heat tape to put areas where tank bra is close or plastics so it doesnt burn it. I drove it around the block and seems to be working great. I am very happy. Need to hit some offroad riding to tweek some stuff.

WOW!! Came out really super and AWESOME!!

I've honestly always LOVED the Tecate's look the most out of all of them. I just love the green.

Not to mention that since I've ridden with Fabiodriven, I have big respect for DA GREEN MACHINES!!!!!!!!!!! :D FAST FAST FAST!!

Nice work Scotty!!
