View Full Version : Anyone getting 'snows gone' blues?

I sure am!

Our snow is all but gone now - it's nothing but a mess of mud and water on all of our better trails now. Not FIT for riding. Plus you actually LOSE trails because some are only good to ride when it's full of snow and the skidoo's beat it down so nice and flat.

My R is pretty much useless to me unless we have a very strong cold snap again or just have to wait out this wet weather and pray it 'dries up' in a month. (Thank god for the 4X4 mule I guess)

Anyways, when the snow was down and packed it made for some REALLY fun riding this winter. The trails were just awesome and there was some nice technical places to ride alongside some great open stretches.

I feel crappy that I lost two full weeks of some of the best snow and weather when I snapped a bolt in my clutch hub installing new friction discs and springs - and once I got the R back on the trails the snow was all but gone (and now the girl pulls the front tire in every gear for fun)

So I'm having a bad case of the 'snow is gone' blues.

Anyone else gunna miss the white stuff?

no way i miss it, i love riding in water more than land, and when i try to ride in the winter i end up falling threw ice and drowning my machine in a hidden water hole

I thought this thread title was a joke! LOL I love the snow myself but this winter I was already sick of it by the end of October. Long nasty winter this year.. with a ton of snow. But I'm pretty sure it's almost over. 65 out today... that really gets you in the mood :D

I'm ready for fishin season!!! :w00t:

I'm ready for fishin season!!! :w00t:

To hell with 'fishing season' I say. If it was at a lake or a pong with a rod and reel - sure. But, for me, 'fishing season' means out on deck of a pitching and rolling boat trying to stand up while throwing around huge fishing gear & hoping you don't fall over the side and get swallowed up by the worlds largest graveyard.

I actually like the snow. I like all the seasons and the different weather they bring. Makes riding the same old trails different. Plus during good snow storms you can run the back roads around me and the state ploice dont seem to care.

I love winter, but I'm ready for summer. I work outside all day, I usually wasnt coming home and riding in it, unless it was the snowmobile.

I'm ready for the summer. I like snow but don't like the cold. Forget spring, I want summer!

It's a terrible mess up here just rained for an hour, and as i'm typing 4 guys are on their way over to rip around. I'm glad its above 50 today, and everyone is dying to ride. We'll just have to fire up the hose when we get home to wash off a little mud...

I have the to much snow blues. We got about a meter of snow so far this winter, but luckily it is finaly starting to melt. +9 celcius today. The pic is before the almost 60cm snow storm we had.
