I put new brushes in my starter and that works now. I currently don't have the pull starter its getting rebuilt.

Its a 85 ytm200e I believe. I picked it up last Tues. Ran great drove it around the sellers property took it home rode it around for a few min and then the pull started crapped.

Now its this Tues, Put the starter back in, turned the gas on, choked it and tired to start it, turned over fine but I couldn't get it to start. So I put a little gas in the head, nothing.

Checked for spark Got it.

Took the plug out and went to get some starting fluid 45min put the plug in and sprayed some ether down the intake. Nothing but I did get a little pop out if the intake.

Could the starter be not turning the motor over fast enough? I also tried using a car battery just in case my battery in it couldn't crank it over fast enough.

Anyone want to help me?

Have you tried push starting it? That could help if its not turning over fast enough but all you need is spark, air, gas, and compression...

I can try to push start it tomorrow afternoon. But I don't really have a lot of room to push it. Its going to be hard with only one of me.

I'm going to call the dealer ship tomorrow and see whats up with my pull start.

Maybe it has a really old plug in it that needs replacing. It might spark when you have it out, but when its threaded in under the load, it wont, and you wont see it happen either. Try that.

Thats what I though too. Over the week it sat the only things that I touched were, Changed the oil and filter, new plug, cleaned air filter, and charged the battery.

Its got me stumped, I hope I didn't spend all this money on a mint looking trike that wont start a week after I get it home. :(

I guess Ill have to wait for the pull start and see what happens then.
