What year is it?

Does it have plastic guards around the rear sprocket and brake disc?

I am trying to go of memory, but raise the machine off the ground and then loosen the four bolts that hold the rear end on the frame , then tighten the long threaded rod underneath the rear axle to slide the rear end back, leave about 1/2 inch slack in the chain, then tighten the four rear axle bolts back up. I hope this helps

Hey Did you buy this from a kid named Brandon out in Boston? If so this was my tri-moto that i brought back from the dead. I know the machine from top to bottom. Brandon was supposed to sell it to my friend Scott but he could not wait a day and then he sold it. Also Brandon gave you a line of crap it never had a new rings put in it. Im just glad to see you on this site.

1) Loosen the 4 14mm bolts on the axle carrier.

2) There is a chain tensioner I think 10mm tighten that up.

3) It should take the slack out of the chain.

4) Tighten the 4 14mm bolts back up.

Well I went to adjust the chain and it was allready maxed out . I took the chain off and removed a link . It's back on and worked out good . I think it's time for a new chain. Thanks for the help guys :)

Also I need to get some tires...should I stick with the big balloon tires or can i get some smaller ones . I was thinking of these

wow! your chain is really stretch out if you were able to take a link out, you should replace that chain before it breaks and slams into the engine breaking the case. Them are the same size I am going to purchase next because I am sick of my balloon tires also, just remember that the "balloons" are your suspension so if you go with smaller ones it might not be as a smooth ride and your going to lose a little top speed with smaller ones.

Yeah i'm going to get a new chain...there's a couple on e-bay . I can get those tires in the stock size also.

its up to you if you want to stick with the stock size, I think size 20x11x8 will be fine and not really affected the handling that much, that's what size I am going to get for my next set of tires.

Yep, It was mine I traded my 225dr for it along with a 125m. Ill tell you some stuff about it so you know what in needs or whatever. It is actually a tri-moto 125 but it has a 225dx front end and headlight. It was like that when I got it. Brandon had a trx90 that i wanted so i traded the tri-moto for it. He said he was going to keep it but the next day it was on Craigslist

I thought it was a 125 when they brought it over... oh well...it runs great . Guess i need to look for a 175 motor . What pre-mix oil did you use ? I'm going to fix it up a little . Re do the seat and paint the plastic . Some new tires too

You can bring them plastics back to there former glory by wet sanding them.

Here's a link to a good thread about wet sanding.
