Please do not post until this long post is over! This magazine is an 80 page load. It's going to take about an hour to post up completely. Then by all means let 'er rip, with questions & comments. This will be about a 6 hour time investment for each complete issue posted.
***PLEASE, everyone, lets all use the thumbs up or down rating system to the upper right to keep threads like this going. I don't want to waste my time on this project unless this is what people want to read. We should all rate thumbs up or down on each post and/or reply we read/view! Thanks and enjoy!***

Those are some of the things on my mind as well. That magazine price would have been lower if I had a subscription back then, but I never had any trouble talking my grandmother into every issue of Dirt Wheels, 3&4 Wheel Action, and 3 Wheeling everytime a new one hit the stands(she loved that I read so much). Of course I had read almost the entire issue before we made it to the grocery store check-out line...lol.
I love the ads almost as much as the features.

Thanks for posting this scan! Great to relive those memories.
I especially liked the lead pic in the Marty Hart interview on page 48. The water cooled top-end on that 83/84 250R was incredible. There is also a small pic on page 41 that refers to the top-end too. Anyone have or have ever seen one in real life?

Great job Andy!!:beer I had some of those magazines back in the day and used to look at them all the time. I had a 83 110 (I have one now but not the same) it had the rear rack and the fairing on it.(I wish I had that fairing, I bet their were only a handfull of brackets made for the 110's) My friend Carl got the 125m (just like the one in the article) brand new, I can still remember how mad I was that he was faster than me.
Great memories:) ,,,, Wish I could relive them.
PS: I wish i had my 85 350X back then. I could have kicked the hell out of Carls 125M    !

If I can, I'll try to post a new issue at the beginning of each month until I run out of magazines. That should be around........ 2025. Well......we'll see, I'll do my best. Feel free to download this stuff for your own collection and/ or archives. Not sure I know how rdlsz24 did that, but hey, more power to ya! Thanks!
I, probably like many of you, love the pictures from the glory years. They seem to bring back the most memories. I only read some of this stuff, if it's real important or pertains to something I'm working on, otherwise I read by the pictures. A true male! :beer

Saul, your site is top notch looking and very nicely laid out! Great job. That '83 R w/ the liquid head is very cool! (pardon the pun) Though, not quite as trick as Marty Heart's Honda backed jug and head, that's still got to be a pretty rare aftermarket set up. Whosoever that is, thanks for sharing, and good luck with the sale!

For all it's worth, for those who are wondering about Marty Harts liquid cooled 250R, I remember very well that there were several companies selling aftermarket heads and cylinders for the older air cooled bikes to add performance. I remember how much of a big deal it was back then to even be able to get just a liquid cooled head, let alone a cylinder, for your air cooled bike. These aftermarket liquid cooled conversion kits were especially popular for Honda Odyssey's.

Here's the problem with page 14. The photobucket generated direct link includes the words "TRAIL PRO", so it comes up like this when posted:
http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/pp334/k10seibel/50c05trailprotrailpro9.jpg
The "TRAIL PRO" tag fouls the posted page from appearing. Sorry, I'm no computer whiz. I'm not aware of how to remedy this issue. The page contains only ads, so in haste, I just skipped it. It was a long night of posting! Here is the photobucket album. Buy the way, can anyone look through my entire album by going to this link, or does just one specific page come up?? I don't care if everything can be viewed, I guess. I'm just curious how it works when adding a link to my photobucket account. Everything in my album is "clean". No naughty stuff.

I bought an NOS set of terry cable fork spring and damper rods on ebay a couple years ago. They are exactly like the ones described in the article. They realy did make a difference too. That's really neat...does anyone know what those springs and rods would be worth for a 185s after they have already been installed? I have the original package and stickers too.

You have to scan an early mag now. How about one of the 1980 issues? Great job on the scanning but I have that issue! LOL People have more parts that are in those mags than you think. You just gotta keep looking. Keep up the good work.
