I am trying to find more information on this trike. I think it is based on the KLT 250. I was told by some one at a Kawi dealership they came in black and white and had special racks. I would love like hell to locate one.

lol this is all I found.
I am guessing they had the same fate as the 87 250r.

Parks and beaches were safer after the Police 250 (KLT250-P) debuted. The special police model was based on the popular Prairie 250 ATV.

After a couple of hours of searching, that is the most I found as well. I did find a thread from 2005 where some members here were discussing one that was one ebay. Of course the ebay link did not work any more.

The Duckster was a 200. I saw one of the Police KLT's at a town auction 4-5 years ago but passed on it. It had white plastics, a red light mounted under the headlight and a billy club holder on the side. If I knew then they were so rare I would of snagged it. I think I bought an 86 200x instead.

Too bad they did not make any like that. I would love to find those two however.

When they painted them up they left the 'red' under the plastic. At one point Roscoe and Cletus flip em over and you can see the overspray under the fenders. lol

Hmmm, replicas maybe? If I had an air cooler lying around I think I would.

Here is one for sale around here somewhere. The guy wants to trade it to a friend for a 1979 Cadillac Deville. it looks to be in pretty bad shape. He claims he dosnt have the key, and the electronic fuel pump and battery are shot. I dont want to but it and spend $400 on the pump. But here is a pic anyway, ENJOY !!!74940

That is rough. Other than the white plastic what makes it a police model? I am interested in it but the price and locatin is an issue. If he dropped the price a few hundred I can afford to have it shipped.

I just took a better look at those photographs. I do no think that is a Police model. The plastic looks painted.

I don't think they are painted, I think they look really sun faded. And I'm with you, that is just a plain Kawasaki Prarie.

Look at the edge that is exsposed under the seat and where the decals are starting to peal off. I looks red, plus the red front forks are kind of strange to see.
